The Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion (IPPLM, Poland) is organizing the 15th Kudowa Summer School – Virtual Edition, 29th June – 3rd July 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school will be organized remotely via Zoom videoconference system.
The IPPLM carries out basic plasma physics studies and its implementation in the area of magnetic confinement fusion, inertial confinement fusion, and pulsed high power technology. Most research and technology related projects are run within two divisions, namely the Division of Laser Plasma (including the High Power Laser Laboratory) and the Division of Magnetised Plasma utilizing the PF-1000 device. Moreover, the Laboratory of Plasma Space Propulsion conducts its activities related to plasma thrusters within the IPPLM structure.
The school aims to provide courses on various aspects of fusion energy, plasma experiments and technology for young scientists from different countries. The lectures will be conducted by specialists with superb qualifications.
The following topics will be addressed:
30th June: Start of the school
2nd July: End of the school
